Hengshui Zhanhe Engineering Rubber Co., Ltd. supplies rubber waterstop belt and related engineering rubber products to contractors, distributors and infrastructure projects worldwide. A preformed rubber strip cast into concrete joints. Its ribs anchor into the concrete while the central bulb absorbs joint movement, so the water path stays blocked as the structure settles or expands.
This article explains the working principle, main types, typical applications, installation points, selection criteria, standards and frequently asked questions about rubber waterstop belt, and is intended for engineers, purchasers and project managers.
A preformed rubber strip cast into concrete joints. Its ribs anchor into the concrete while the central bulb absorbs joint movement, so the water path stays blocked as the structure settles or expands.
Working principle: The product works through elastic deformation and mechanical interlock to provide reliable sealing or load transfer.
Rubber Waterstop Belt is manufactured and inspected according to applicable national and industry standards. Hengshui Zhanhe Engineering Rubber Co., Ltd. carries out batch inspection before delivery, and inspection certificates together with third-party test reports (where required by the project) can be provided.
Typical standards applied to this product family include Chinese national and transportation industry standards; equivalent international standards can be referenced upon request.
A: Field joints should be hot-vulcanized with a portable press at about 140-150°C under pressure, giving at least 80% of the parent material strength with a minimum 100 mm overlap. Cold-bonded joints only reach 40%-60% and tend to open once the joint moves.
A: Mainly weak fixing, one-sided concrete placement and direct contact with the vibrator. Use rebar clips at about 400 mm spacing, place concrete symmetrically on both sides and keep the vibrator clear of the strip.
A: A galvanized steel strip, typically 0.6-1.0 mm thick, is bonded to each edge. It raises tear resistance and helps hold the strip in position during concreting. Avoid damaging the zinc coating during handling and storage.
A: Inspect the appearance for blisters, cracks and spongy areas, measure width and thickness against the drawing, and check the certificate and type test report. Sample testing covers tensile strength, elongation at break and tear strength.
The quotation is built up from compound cost, section area, steel edge, moulding of special joints and delivery. A 400x10 mm section uses around 60% more compound per metre than a 300x8 mm one, so the unit price rises accordingly. Steel-edge types typically cost 30%-40% more. Send us the drawings and the total length with special joints will be calculated.
Packing: standard export packing (woven bags, pallets or wooden cases). Delivery terms: EXW, FOB, CFR, CIF or DAP as agreed. Payment terms: T/T, L/C or other terms subject to negotiation.
